1. Believe that you'll win the jackpot. Every time you buy a ticket always believe that you'll win. When you buy a ticket, you believe that you have a chance to win, don't you? Therefore, since you believe that you'll win the jackpot someday, believe that that "someday" is the very day you buy the ticket. Don't buy if you have a little doubt. If you didn't get the jackpot, accept that that "someday" hasn't come yet and try again next time with the same attitude.
2. Don't believe there's a scientific way of winning the lottery because there is NONE. It's simply a game of chance and there are no formulae for winning. Don't waste your time looking for one.
2. Appropriate a budget and strictly follow it. Just like anything in this world, if you overdo it, there's a bad consequence. Use money that will not sacrifice your basic needs like, food, clothing, shelter, education, etc. Take it from your "entertainment" budget.
3. Remember it's a game. When you play it, enjoy and have fun. Don't take it seriously like your whole future depends on it. You should treat it like a diversion, the way you spend money on movies, concerts or games.
4. Create a purpose. For example, you want to quit smoking. To motivate yourself, use the money you save from buying cigarettes to buy a lottery ticket. Which means, if you don't quit smoking, you can't buy a lottery ticket. In my case, I want to be fit so I encourage myself to take a walk instead of riding a bus. One-way 10-minute ride (30min on foot) costs about US$2 and a lottery ticket is about the same. I get to walk 1 hour a day, save US$4 and able to buy 2 lottery tickets and help the charity which the lottery supports. Three birds in one stone.
5. Be ready to get rich. Imagine yourself winning the jackpot. That's a lot of money! It can change your life for the better. But you can also lose it as fast as you got it if you don't know how to handle it. Remember, the more money you have the more needs will come. For example, a US$20,000 suite room will become a need. Here's a suggestion. Buy some play money and imagine they're real. Imagine how you're going to budget them How much you'll invest on stocks, how much you'll save in the bank, etc. Read the internet for more info about investments and be extra cautious. This might be your only chance of winning the jackpot. Don't be ignorant.
6. When you get rich, keep a low profile. A lot of swindlers and robbers will attract you like ants to sugar if you let others know about your fortune. You don't even have to tell your friends.
Good luck! Start buying lottery tickets now if you haven't yet! I already bought mine. Of course, If I'll win, I won't tell you. :)
