Taking 2-G0 boat from CDO-Cebu pros and cons - u can take a jeepney from the city to the pier. Fare is P7 only - lots of crews who attend to passengers concerns. - food and drinks are expensive - charging celfones is NOT FREE. P5 per 10 min. - delayed for 2.5 hrs. - clean surroundings. - Smartbro signal so slow Their economy accommodation was like tourist. I was thinking of upgrading if I found it dirty or unsafe but it was OK. The next high grade accommodation was P1340. The difference is you can have bed sheets. Would you pay P400 for bedsheets rent? On the ship, early in the morning a nice lady told me "man... go straight... left... there" with lots of sign language trying to tell me where the men's CR was. I answered "Salamat kaayo manang, maayong buntag ug hapi nyu yir". She smiled and answered "hapi nyu yir sad, Bisaya diay ka abi naku Koreano" waaaaaaaaaaaa I've been to Korea 2x only and I don't eat Korean food often why oh why hehehehehe A mutlicab is a 11 seater vehicle (10 in the back and 1 in front). When I arrived at the stop the multicab was full, some are climbing on it but the dispatcher told me 1 could still fit inside. I told them I'm tired, I'll take the next one. I sat at the front seat. The dispatcher told me I have to pay for 2. I told him I won't coz it's only good for one. Moments later, the driver told me we won't leave until another one will sit next to me. Nobody did... Filipinos should demand quality in everything. | I heard 2 strangers talking to each other both of them met for the first time... they're asking/giving personal information, some unsolicited, such as, ALL my 6 children are engineers hehehe one of them mentioned names of people i know personally hehehe but I kept quiet hehehe lots of people waiting for a taxi at the pier... across the road, a tamaraw (no taxi sign) driver shouting "south bound"... I hopped in... the driver said "2" me: What's 2? he: 200 me: I'm getting off. please pull over. why I got off? no aircon. I was sharing with someone else and I know it costs less than 100. Truly, I only paid P82 in an aircon taxi hahaha, so customers demand what your money's worth |
Dec. 30, 2013, I took a cab to Sibulan to take a ferry to cross the sea to Cebu island. After purchasing a ferry ticket someone (who is not friendly) will ask you if you're taking the aircon bus to Cebu. If you say, yes, you get a seat assignment. This is more convenient than their system at the Terminal (South Bound) in Cebu. The trip was smooth. I stopped by the 7-11 convenient store across the road for some food and found beer. I had one before I went to Mactan to look for a hotel.

It started in China as a way to ward off evil on New Years eve.
It's adapted in the Philippines without knowing its history. Now, it's done even on Christmas eve. In the future they may start doing it on the 1st of December or probably on the 1st of September --- the start of the "ber" months. Why do we do it? What's fun about firecrackers? 1. It scares people... last night a taxi refuses me a ride because the kids throws firecrackers at them randomly at night in remote places. just imagine the scare of the people in the taxi if the car catches fire and blows off! that'd be fun to watch, isn't it? 2. It hurts people... at this time of the year the emergency rooms of hospitals are very busy. It's fun to see them cry esp if their hands are amputated. Of course, the scare in their faces. 3. It burns down buildings... can't you see how fun it is to see people running away from a house on fire? 4. It makes profit... to all in the business of manufacturing and selling and to the bribes some officials get (do they?) 5. it surprises people. Just imagine the face of a surprised person especially those with heart ailments who die from heart attack. 6. It encourages the use of firearms... imagine the fun of seeing a stray bullet hit an innocent victim! 7. It causes air pollution and makes asthmatic people sick and probably die. How fun it is to see someone having difficulty breathing! That's how fun it is that's why they do it during new year... recently, as early as Christmas eve... in the future probably from the start of December or "ber" months. That mayor Duterte in Davao is a killjoy. If you CANNOT UNDERSTAND those kinds of happiness and fun... . . . you're not alone. I'm one of them. |
