And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,
Everyday I walk to school some 30 min distance. I take advantage of this by walking briskly so I can exercise everyday. But one fine day I preferred to walk leisurely to enjoy the beautiful spring afternoon. It was then that I noticed the flowers along the road -- some wild, some were not. So, today I brought along my small camera and took pictures along the way. These were some of the flowers I found. Can you name them all? a shy camellia and one rainy afternoon...

my accidentally beautiful shot. I ask my friend this question: Can you recommend to me a good camera under $1,000 that I can use for the next 15 years. His answer: 15yrs.? well that depends on how many shots you take and the maintenance you put into it ... for under a thousand i dont think any camera would last save maybe the old good film slrs. if you want a camera with staying power but not crazy expensive my bets would go to canon 10's series... d10 d20 d30.... the newest one i believe is d 50 (i have a d40 had it for 3 years good as new) or go with the nikon 100's series 100d 200d 300d... they are a bit pricey (nikon d80 and 90 might be a cheap nice way too i think sudesh has one) but their body can take some kicks much like the canons... the problem with the entry level kiss cameras is they produce pretty good fotos but their body is just not up to the task of lasting long being plastic ... the other HUGE thing you have to think about is that you need a camera you are going to grow into... in about a month to 2 months youll know everything on a kiss camera... youll want a semi professional camera because you WILL get good and you will get bored unless you have other functions and abilities on the camera to experiment with and learn how to use... like auto bracketing, flash usage, white balance and temp colors not even mentioning the picture quality is better... thats why i went with the canon d 40 (at the time it was the latest greatest minus the d5 and d1) its sturdy got alot of slr features for me to grow into when i explore other methods of taking pictures... it cost me just a little over 1000 dollars at the time. (body only) 3 rd thing is if your thinking 15 years... pic a camera whose lenses are in wide variety. canon and nikon are great this way ... i can always find lenses ... also when i find the lens is too expensive because of their name popularity they have lots of other name brands that make lenses for the camera for cheaper (like sigma, tamron and so forth) unlike some other cameras. sometimes their lenses are more useful (like for me i use a tamron 18 to 250mm massive range and i only have to carry one lens great for hiking and tourism) when i need quality i can pull out the 50mm or 300mm when i have the purpose (like a parade when i cant get close) but other wise super tele is great. another thing is comfort and ergonomics ... my camera is a little heavy in comparison to the kiss cams but i can feel touch and reach all the buttons with the same dexterity as a ten year old video game king without taking my eye off the view finder. this is especially helpful when taking pictures of animated objects like birds, wildlife, sports etc. so often you miss the moment because your setting up your camera instead of waiting like a sniper for the moment making careful adjustments while still keeping my eye on the action (see my bird photos to give you an idea especially the fishing birds) the kiss cams are small and i find my hand cramped on them ... try other cams till you find one that fits you... anyhow i dont want to say any one camera is the definitive one but hopefully i gave you some principles to work with. in summary not in order of importance 1. body protection 2. something your skills can grow into (not meet) 3. lens selection 4. ergonomics lastly make sure it takes a good picture! thats most important! hope this helps happy hunting by the way, here are the links to the pictures I took with Canon X3.
