I took a taxi (it was a Tata mini van) from Delhi train station to my hotel. The van's seat belts were not working and the van didn't look sturdy. The driver was driving like crazy, like we were being chased by a lion (are there lions in India?) going through narrow streets and busy highways. I put my luggage in front of me to serve as an airbag in case we'd meet an accident. And we did! The traffic light just turned red but my taxi didn't stop and it hit a motorcycle. It was the taxi driver's fault but he opened his window and yelled at the biker who rose dusted off himself and lifted up his bike and just run away like nothing happened. Maybe he was in a hurry. I arrived at my hotel safe but I thought that it was the end of my adventures.
Traffic violations in the Philippines is rampant as well but I think New Delhi, India was the worst among those I've seen with my own eyes, next to Shanghai, China.
